We respect and appreciate our servicemen and servicewomen who put their lives on the line to protect the freedoms we enjoy back here in the states. We do not take your sacrifices for granted, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

As more military personnel return from active duty, the need for mental and behavioral health services seems to be on the rise. Despite this need there are real barriers to veterans getting the assistance they require.

One of the most prevalent barriers is whether the therapist has a military background; civilian therapists "don't know what it's like. They haven't been there, done that."

We agree. We will never truly understand the experiences you have endured while in the military. At North Star Community Counseling, we treat you as the expert.

North Star Community Counseling also offers therapy services for family members who are facing their own emotional challenges while a loved one is stationed away or deployed overseas.

We acknowledge that handling deployment or other military circumstances, on top of daily life responsibilities, can be overwhelming.

You don't have to go through this experience alone.

Periodically we offer pro-bono therapy services to veterans and/or their families. Please ask if any slots are currently available.
